Yaang
/
YAANG were named in NME’s 10 Best Acts at Beyond The Music 2024.
Following on from multiple sold-out headline shows including Manchester’s YES, and raucous support slots including Maruja’s sold-out show at Gorilla, Manchester and Death From Above 1979’s UK return at The Garage, London as well as other shows with such names as Fat Dog, Getdown Services, Porij and KEG, YAANG are set to release their debut offering ‘No’ digitally and on limited edition 10” vinyl through Crackedankles Records as well as a cassette run courtesy of Sour Grapes Records on March 14th 2025.
The four track EP, produced by Beck Clewlow of Formal Sppeedwear and mastered by Jesse F. Keeler of Death From Above 1979 and MSTRKRFT, faithfully captures the chaotic and breakneck essence of YAANG’s live shows, something they have become synonymous with.
Kicking off with 7-minute-plus krautrock inspired epic ‘Comfort’, continuing to the post-punk skirmish of ‘Speed McQueen’, through to the pulsating Justice- esque dance beats of ‘Til Morning Light’, finishing on the whirlwind punk anthem ‘‘Billy’.
Guitarist Oliver Duffy remarks “There’s something for everyone and nothing for no-one.”
